Bear Viewing

Alaska is the only U.S. state with three bear species: brown, black and polar. While Anchorage is far south of polar bear territory, there is plenty of ursine activity. Spot black or brown bears that call the Anchorage area home, or take off for secluded sites where grizzlies fish for salmon.
