1. Mush Dogs

Ride the runners of a dogsled and find out what it takes to handle a team of Alaska sled dogs. Swoop along trails and dream of Iditarod glory.

 2. Get An Eagle-Eye View

Strap in with your instructor, sprint downhill and paraglide off Mount Alyeska. You’ll soar past mountainsides and over mountain streams before touching down in a nearby meadow.

3. Take Flight

Buzz over huge glaciers, by browsing wildlife and around the continent’s tallest peaks on a flightseeing trip, or wing your way into bear territory at and touch down at viewing hotspots.

 4. Frozen Ascent

Ice climb, anytime! Waterfalls are perfect for winter climbing trips, and glaciers are perfect for a summer summit. Rope up, grab an ice ax and dig in; local guides can show you how!

5. Mountain Bike Downhill

Zip down challenging terrain, and take a magic carpet ride back to the top for the next run! Chairlift assisted mountain biking gives you all the fun with none of the uphill legwork!

6. Climb Mountains

Mount McKinley and towering peaks summon climbers from across the globe. But summiting is within reach for any visitor; experienced guides and outfitters will have you trekking through the mountains in no time, and the top of Flattop is just 1,300 feet about the trailhead!

7. Hike On A Glacier

Alaska has more than 100,000 glaciers, and the most accessible are close to Anchorage. Cruise past Portage Glacier by boat, or walk to the toe of Exit Glacier in Seward. Don crampons on a guided trek out onto Matanuska Byron and Raven glaciers.

8. Jet Boat

Zoom up and down miles of shallow glacial-fed river, through canyons, dodging floating debris while keeping an eye open for Alaska wildlife.

9. Snow Bike

There’s two-wheeled fun in all four seasons! Explore the city’s snow-covered, groomed trails from a fat-tire snow bike. A bit icy out there? Slap on studded tires and keep right on pedaling.

10. Rev Up

Rumble through the brush on an all terrain vehicle and spot bear and moose in remote clearings. Or wait for the snow to fly, hop on a snowmobile tour, and visit a mammoth glacier.
