The Tools to Plan the Dream Vacation

Anchorage, Alaska - Jan. 12, 2004 - The 2004 Official Anchorage Visitors Guide is hot off the press and ready for immediate distribution. This free Guide, produced by the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), is an invaluable trip-planning tool and chalk full of information, local and statewide activities, events, an easy to read pullout map, sample itineraries, and much more! The Guide, along with the ACVB's Web site, www.anchorage.net, is used by both visiting guests and local residents alike.

The 128-page Guide features new and expanded sections such as "Kids Corner," "Camp Out," "Fish On," "Winter Wonderland," and a four-page "2004 Events Calendar." The Guide offers more than 30 pages of editorial and informational material, bright, eye-catching photographs covering the many year-round activities, transportation options, trip planning advice, a gear guide and many day tour options.

The Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau's mission is to attract and serve visitors to the Municipality of Anchorage. ACVB's marketing functions are funded by half of the bed tax collected by hotels. The other half goes to the Municipality's general fund. ACVB receives no state or federal funds.
