Get Around Anchorage

One of the best ways to tour downtown Anchorage is by horse-drawn carriage.
Like any metropolitan city, there are many transportation options within Anchorage including taxis and limousines, rental cars, RVs, bicycles, motorcycles, motorcoach charters, and public bus service.
Many attractions outside the downtown core cater to visitors by offering free shuttles during the summer.
The Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is just six miles from downtown. Transportation to downtown is convenient by taxi or hotel courtesy shuttles. Upon arrival, stop by the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau Visitor Information Center for direction.
