Alyeska Blueberry and Mountain Arts Festival

Held in Girdwood at the Alyeska Prince Hotel Courtyard by the pond, this annual event will next take place Aug. 12, 2006.

Festival traditions include local artisan booths, live music, a poetry jam, paragliding fly-in, great food and the Blueberry desert and wine contest. Past entries include blueberry wines, blueberry brews, blueberry shots, blueberry cheesecakes and jams - even blueberry tacos and pizzas.

Held in conjunction with the festival is the Alyeska Classic Mountain Run.
