Alaska Marriage License
A Marriage License can be obtained through the Alaska Bureau of Vital Statistics. A waiting period (three business days) begins when the application is received. Applications can be downloaded from their Web site. Blood tests are not required in Alaska.
The marriage must be solemnized by a minister, priest, rabbi, member of the Salvation Army or a marriage commissioner. A little known fact: Anyone in Alaska (best friend, brother, neighbor, employer - anyone) can perform a marriage ceremony one time only if they first obtain a marriage commissioner appointment from an Alaska court.
