How can my cruise clients transfer to Anchorage?

I have clients who would like to visit Alaska sometime in late September or early October. I’ve heard that tours and attractions pretty much shut down after September 15. What is there for them to see and do if they arrive after that date?
- Most summer operators don't shut down at the end of summer, they just switch gear. ATV's are changed over for snowmobiles, hiking boots are replaced by snowshoes. And some activities operate year-round, such as king salmon fishing and flightseeing. Of course skiing and skating are winter specific, as is theater performances and concerts at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. I have a group interested in hiking in Alaska. What are the best trails in your region?
- There are too many trails in the Southcentral region of Alaska to list here, however, many are very accessible from Anchorage and offer a profuse abundance of wildflowers, spectacular scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities. The following trails are among our favorites: Glen Alps, Willawaw Lakes, Turnagain Trail, Winner Creek Gorge and Crow Creek Trail (Historic Iditarod Trail), accessed from either Girdwood or Eagle River Valley. There are plenty of great maps and hiking recommendations available. For more visit www.anchorage.net/809.cfm
