Anchorage, Alaska, is easily accessible any time of the year whether traveling by air, land or sea.

from Anchorage, adventure abounds in every direction; north to Denali National Park, south to the Kenai Peninsula, west across Cook Inlet, or east to the spectacular Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve.

Getting to Anchorage is Easy

The Alaska Railroad connects Anchorage with Seward and Fairbanks. Lake Hood, the world’s busiest floatplane base, brings the remote areas in Alaska closer to Anchorage. Two highways connect Anchorage with the rest of Southcentral Alaska.

Transportation Options Abound

There are many transportation options to and around Anchorage, including taxis and limousines, rental cars, RVs, bicycles, motorcycles, motorcoach charters, and public bus service.

The Alaska Marine Highway calls several ports near Anchorage such as Whittier, Seward and Homer, and Valdez which are all connected to Anchorage by road and rail.
