Committee Seeks Candidates for ACVB Board of Directors
The Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) Board of Directors, through its Nominations & Elections Committee, is seeking members in good standing, interested in running as a candidate for a seat on the ACVB board.
Directors serve three-year terms, which are staggered so that six to seven of the board’s 20 elected seats become available for election each year.
Individuals interested in the committee’s criteria for board candidates should contact Yael Kaufman, committee chair, through Kelli Hoglin on or before Aug. 21, 2009, by calling 257-2345, or email khoglin@anchorage.net.
Questionnaires will be sent to candidates the first week of September. The committee will review all packets and recommend a slate for full-board approval in October. The official ballot will be mailed to designated voting members in December 2009. New board members will begin their term at the January 2010 Board Meeting.
