West End Block Party - a Big Wild summer event! Fourth Avenue's west end neighbors are taking over their entire block, Thursday, July 23, 2009, from 4:30 - 8:30 p.m., to host the 7th Annual West End Block Party at Snow City Café! Open to the entire community, the West End Block Party is also an ACVB Business Exchange, providing the perfect venue for networking while enjoying music by Nervus Rex, free food and Simon's famous scratch margarita garden.
Ace of Cakes "Bakes" Alaska This April, ACVB along with the Alaska Travel Industry Association (ATIA) played host to Chef Duff Goldman of the popular Food Network show Ace of Cakes. Duff prepared a cake for Alaska's 50th anniversary of statehood while obtaining footage for the Ace of Cakes 7th-season premiere. The episode aired Sunday, July 19, 2009. Did you miss it? No worries; encore presentations featuring several ACVB members will air this week.
