Ace of Cakes: Baked Alaska
ACVB along with the Alaska Travel Industry Association (ATIA) played host to Chef Duff Goldman of popular Food Network show Ace of Cakes in April 2009. Before presenting a cake for Alaska's 50th anniversary of statehood, Duff and crew experienced and filmed southcentral Alaska to obtain footage for the Ace of Cakes 7th-season opener debuting July 19, 2009. ACVB and ATIA welcomed New York Post Travel Editor David Landsel to Anchorage in June 2009. Landsel spent six days experiencing the Big Wild Life™ in Anchorage, participating in festivals, cultural and adventure activities. Cooking Light Alaska Feature
Spring 2009, ACVB assisted Sheila Callahan, a freelance journalist on assignment for Cooking Light magazine, on the Anchorage section of her Alaska feature, which appeared in June 2009.
