• 6 p.m. – Official welcome picnic for all competitors and guests hosted by the South Central Alaska Beard and Moustache Club and local Lions Club. Kincaid Chalet.

Friday, May 22

• 12:15 – 3 p.m. – World Beard and Moustache Meeting. Open to public. Dena’ina Center.
• 4 p.m. – Beard parade through downtown Anchorage. Starts and ends at Fourth Avenue and E Street.
• 4:30 p.m. – Welcome rally and media kick-off. Peratrovich Park on the corner of Fourth Avenue and E Street
• 6:30 p.m. – Opening reception featuring entertainment by Australian band The Beards. Dena’ina Center

Saturday, May 23

• 10 a.m. – Final contestant registration and pre-judging. Dena’ina Center.
• All contestants must appear for verification of correct category. Late registrations accepted.
• 12:30 p.m. – Contestant appearance at Anchorage Downtown Market. Third Avenue and E Street.
• 1:30 p.m. – Doors open to public for 2009 World Beard and Moustache Championships. Dena’ina Center.
• 2 p.m. – Moustache and partial beard judging begins
• 7 p.m. – Full beard judging begins
