Anchorage, Alaska – April 20, 2009 – Following the completion of the $111 million, 215,000-square-foot Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in fall 2008, the visitor industry’s private sector is building additional hotel properties to accommodate meeting delegates, business travelers and leisure visitors to Anchorage. “Anchorage is a vibrant business hub that will prosper,” said Chris Ashenbrener, co-owner of the new Crowne Plaza Anchorage. The private sector continues to build in Alaska’s largest city, with expectations of continued growth in the meeting and visitor industry.
