Downhill Championship Races Slated to Start at 2:30 p.m. Today

GIRDWOOD, ALASKA – March 28, 2009 – Women and men each completed one run during the Downhill Training Runs of the Nature Valley 2009 U.S. Ski Championships this morning. The weather has lifted and the Women’s and Men’s Downhill Championships are slated to take place on the Super G course at 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. respectively.

The Women’s Downhill Championship race will consist of one run, while the Men’s Downhill Championship race will consist of two runs. Mount Alyeska is open for public skiing during the U.S. Ski Championships. There are numerous vantage points on the mountain and at the base to witness the fast-paced action and world-class athletes.
