• Help Family and Friends Strike Gold! This is Alaska’s golden anniversary; visit the 50th anniversary section of Anchorage.net to discover fun anniversary themed events, discounts and itinerary ideas!

Graze to Raise at the "5K Buffet"

Get out the sweat suit, slip on your sneakers and bring your appetite to the 2009 Alaska Visitor Industry Charity Walk on May 1, 2009, 6 p.m. at the Dena’ina Center. This 5K “graze to raise” is a fun and filling chance to raise money for your favorite local charity as you meander through downtown streets sampling delicious treats from some of Anchorage’s finest eating establishments.

Don't miss the "Big Finish" at the Dena’ina Center! This taste bud trifecta features yummy desserts, a beer and wine “garden,” live music, jugglers, clowns, magicians, carnival games and hundreds of door prizes donated by the Alaska visitor industry. Past prizes include cruises, hotel stays, adventure packages and more! The cost per walker is $30 for adults and $15 for children from 5 -18 years. Register online at www.alaskacharitywalk.org.
