In Their Own Words: 2009 Mayoral Candidate Surveys

In an effort to inform and educate our members, the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), together with the Anchorage Downtown Partnership (ADP), surveyed each of the 15 Anchorage mayoral candidates. Survey questions focused on the travel and tourism industry and candidates’ vision and priorities for Anchorage’s economic growth and development.

Read from each candidate, in their own words, their thoughts on – 1) the economic future of Anchorage; 2) how they plan to help Anchorage continue to prosper and develop as a vibrant city; 3) what their top-three priorities are.

Your vote is important. Decisions made by the Anchorage Mayor affect the support and mission of ACVB and your interests in the local, state and national visitor markets.

This information will provide insight to each candidate prior to meeting them in person and hearing them speak at the ACVB Monthly Membership Luncheon, featuring a Mayoral Candidate Forum, Wednesday, March 18, noon – 1:00 pm at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center.
