Virtual Visitors Center Goes Live

GoAnchorage.net, also known as the Virtual Visitors Center (VVC), is live and attracting prospective Anchorage travelers. Designed to enthuse and engage prospective visitors with the Anchorage Big Wild Life™ experience, the interactive, multi-media site features a “guided” tour of Anchorage and Southcentral Alaska, rich photography, exciting video and engaging stories.

Anchorage residents guide users through the site, sharing personal adventures and divulging an “inside track” on what to do and where to go in the city. GoAnchorage.net guides include Olympic snowboarder and lifelong Alaskan Rosey Fletcher, well known meteorologist and passionate outdoorsman Robert Forgit, and Alaska Native husband and wife team Rod Worl and Dawn Dinwoodie.

Member Feedback Opportunity

The VVC uses innovative flash technology to showcase Anchorage and Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) members. As with any Web site, GoAnchorage.net is a work in progress. ACVB is already making improvements to the site as it exists today. Look for an enhanced virtual rack card, polishing of the online video guides, and other improvements in coming weeks.
