Escape the cold this New Year and win a trip to Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl Game
Anchorage, Alaska – Nov. 25, 2008 – Four lucky Alaskans will have the opportunity to see the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau’s (ACVB) Tribute to Alaska’s 50th Anniversary of Statehood float in the 120th Annual Tournament of Roses Parade and attend the Rose Bowl football game that follows the parade in Pasadena, Calif. on Jan. 1, 2009.
The sweepstakes, sponsored by the ACVB, is open to all Alaskans ages 18 and older, and includes overnight accommodations, round-trip airfare from Anchorage to the Los Angeles area, tickets to several VIP events associated with the Tournament of Roses Parade, including Bandfest and Equestfest, VIP seating at the parade, and tickets to the Rose Bowl Game.
Designed by award winning float designer, Raul Rodriguez, of Fiesta Parade Floats, the fully animated, organic creation features beautiful floral renderings of five masks, each representing one of Alaska’s diverse cultural regions. The colorful design also showcases the state’s magnificent geography and abundant wildlife along with key elements influencing the state’s growth throughout the years. Adding even more depth to the 22-foot-high by 18-foot-wide by 55-foot-long float will be 10 Alaska Native dancers and drummers performing both traditional and non-traditional songs alongside the float on the 5.5 mile parade route.
To enter the sweepstakes, visit www.Anchorage.net/Roses between Nov. 21, 2008 and Dec. 11, 2008 and complete the online entry form – limit one entry per person. Two winners will be drawn Dec. 12, 2008, each of whom can bring one guest. For a complete list of sweepstakes rules, explore www.Anchorage.net/plugins/sweeps_roses/rules.html
