Get up Early for the Early Show

Friday, June 27, 2008: Show your Alaska spirit , this Friday (early) morning when the CBS Early Show broadcasts live from Spenard Beach Park in Anchorage! The broadcast will take place between 3 and 5 a.m., featuring Dave Price, the CBS weather anchor, live from the shores of Lake Hood.

The CBS Early Show crew is in Anchorage as part of its Early On The Road series, and this is a great opportunity to show the nation Alaska's welcoming, enthusiastic visitor industry (not to mention our incredible scenery and Bush plane culture).

ACVB and ATIA's public relations firm, Bernholz & Graham, are working together to round up a crowd of up to 200 people to gather for their live show and be a part of the celebration.

This is an all-hands-on-deck call for all ACVB members, friends, family and supporters to rally on the shores of Lake Hood early Friday morning to show the nation our incredible spirit and promote Alaska's 50th anniversary of statehood.

Please arrive by 2:45 a.m. Parking is available at Faith Christian Community (4240 Wisconsin St., adjacent to the park). The church requests that we try to park toward the front of the lot near the sidewalk.
