Alaska will celebrate 50 years of statehood in 2009, with the celebration kicking off this summer. Vic Fischer, one of the original delegates to the Alaska Constitutional Convention, will give luncheon attendees an eyewitness account of Alaska's fight for Statehood.

Tennys Owens, from the Anchorage Statehood Celebration Committee, will describe how businesses can capitalize on this unique moment in time and the tourism opportunity. Information will also be available on upcoming events such as Iditarod, Fur Rendezvous, WILDFest and Tour of Anchorage.
