Fish Alaska Fishing Trip Sweepstakes Rules & Eligibility
Contest open to U.S. citizens 18 years and older before January 4, 2008. No purchase necessary. Before July 31, 2008 at 11:59 PM Alaska standard time, sign up to receive an Anchorage Visitors Guide at anchorage.net/fishalaska and automatically be entered in the Contest. Entries must be completed and received prior to the closing date and time. Each person is only allowed one entry. Winner will be chosen on August 1, 2008 and notified by e-mail. If winner does not reply to e-mail notification and/or required forms for award of prizes are not returned (completed and signed) within 10 days of prize notification, the winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. Contest prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Travel to and from Anchorage, Anchorage transportation, Anchorage breakfasts and lunches, and income and other taxes due on the prizes are the responsibility of the Contest winner. Identification must be produced upon request, and a W9 must be provided by the winner before award of prizes. Dates for trip are firm as September 23, 2008 through September 29, 2008. Late, lost, misdirected, garbled, illegible, unintelligible or incomplete entries will be disqualified. Employees of Fish Alaska and Contest sponsors, including affiliates and the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau, and immediate family members or those living in the same household of such employees are not eligible to enter. By entering the Contest, participants agree to these rules, and except where prohibited, by claiming any prize the winner agrees to use of winner's name, voice, photo, or likeness, for promotion, publicity, and advertising purposes in any medium without compensation.
Fish Alaska, Contest sponsors, and the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau assume no responsibility for any: error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communication line failure, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. Fish Alaska, Contest sponsors, and the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any communication network or lines, computer systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email for technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, or at the website, or any combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials for this Contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, FISH ALASKA, CONTEST SPONSORS, AND THE ANCHORAGE CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Any entrant who deliberately damages, tampers with, or undermines the legitimate operation of the Contest or the website, or is otherwise in violation of the rules may be disqualified.
By entering this Contest, participants agree to and release and hold Fish Alaska, the sponsors, and the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau harmless from any and all liability or injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Contest, use of your entry, or associated with accepting or use of any prize. If you do not want to grant the foregoing release, please do not enter the Contest. The winner may be required to sign releases of Fish Alaska, the sponsors, and/or the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau for the prizes.
Fish Alaska and/or the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau reserve the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest. Contest is subject to applicable laws and void where restricted or prohibited and outside the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
