Big. Wild. Fishing Itinerary

Your Big Wild adventure begins the minute you touch down in Anchorage, Alaska.
Day One
Take the hotel shuttle to your Alaska home for the next three nights: the Puffin Inn, located on Spenard Road. Just a short walk from the hotel is Lake Hood, the busiest floatplane lake in the U.S., with more than 800 take-offs and landings per day during the summer.
Take the Thrifty Car Rental shuttle from Puffin Inn to Thrifty Car Rental on the corner of Spenard and Minnesota to pick up your spacious Dodge Caravan, perfect for exploring Anchorage and the surrounding area.
End your day at Simon and Seafort’s Restaurant, known for its awesome views of Cook Inlet and surrounding mountain ranges, spectacular sunsets, and scrumptious seafood and grilled meats.
Day Two
Hike up Flattop Mountain for a bird’s eye view of Anchorage, or rent bicycles to explore the city’s more than 120 miles of paved trails. Stock up on last-minute sports equipment at the Sportsman's Warehouse with your $100 gift certificate.
Then it’s back downtown for a massage or other service at Allure Day Spa & Hair Design, where you have $250 in gift certificates.
Day Three
At day break, depart from Lake Hood on Rust's Flying Service for a scenic flight to Lake Creek, a world renown salmon river. You’ll fish for silvers all day with a guide from Northwoods Lodge.
Return to Anchorage and stop at Alaska Sausage and Seafood, where you have $100 toward processing your silver salmon for shipping it home to enjoy later.
Day Four
Depart for home with fond memories of a great Anchorage adventure. As a reminder of your trip, you will receive Fish Alaska and Hunt Alaska magazines for two years. Send a photo of your Alaska adventure and it will be published in the magazine.
