Meet ACVB's New CEO
The Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) board of directors appointed Julie Saupe as president and chief executive officer effective May 16, 2007. Saupe, a five-year veteran as vice president of ACVB’s Community & Visitor Relations department, has extensive non-profit management experience and a keen sense of the Alaska tourism industry. more >>
Members will have an opportunity to congratulate Saupe at this week's Monthly Membership Luncheon:
John Binkley, president of the Alaska Cruise Association (ACA), will discuss the goals of the newly formed ACA as well as legislative and other issues facing the cruise industry in Alaska at the May Membership Luncheon, Thursday, Noon - 1 p.m., May 17, 2007, at the Howard Johnson Hotel.
Binkley will also take a look at forecasts for the Alaska cruise industry and trends in the world cruise markets for 2007, 2008 and beyond.
