John Binkley, president of the Alaska Cruise Association (ACA) will discuss the goals of the newly formed ACA as well as legislative and other issues facing the cruise industry in Alaska at the May Membership Luncheon, Thursday, Noon - 1 p.m., May 17, 2007, at the Howard Johnson Hotel.

Binkley will also take a look at forecasts for the Alaska cruise industry and trends in the world cruise markets for 2007, 2008 and beyond.

ACVB Geocache Day at Central Middle School

This school year, students in Central Middle School's Landmark class have been busy researching and compiling information for ACVB's first-ever "Geocaching Guide to Anchorage." Join ACVB staff this Friday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. for a lesson in this exciting new visitor trend and see the results of the students' hard work. Students will share the principles of geocaching and teach us how to use GPS units in following clues to hidden treasures!
