A monthly newsletter for Alaska residents presented by the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB).

The unveiling of Anchorage's new brand has been huge news for our city. The brand, Anchorage: Big Wild Life, expresses the larger-than-life qualities that make Anchorage a truly exotic and sought-after destination.
The momentum to successfully market our city will grow as residents and businesses demonstrate their personal connection with the brand. The tremendous variety of unique recreational opportunities, the wild, ruggedly beautiful surroundings in an urban setting, the independent spirit and our sense of community easily fit into this brand.
Identifying Anchorage's brand involved public sessions, brainstorming and branding exercises. The key message repeated by participants pointed to the sheer abundance of exciting activities and endless opportunities available at our fingertips. Specifically, things are Big, from the six surrounding mountain ranges and monster fish in Ship Creek; to Wild unforgettable scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities right in town; to Life and the extraordinary experiences in a special place like no other.
When you think of your own life, both professional and personal, I am confident you've had unique, authentic experiences others living outside of Anchorage cannot imagine. Currently, ACVB is gathering stories from residents to post on www.bigwildlife.net as testimonial to our lifestyle. These stories will allow others to visualize the amazing life we lead in Anchorage. I can't wait to read about your Big Wild Life!!
