In the spirit of Seymour, the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) will e-mail Club members monthly with an inside scoop on happenings in Anchorage and Southcentral Alaska, along with fun contests and travel ideas. This month, the focus is downtown Anchorage.

Summer in the City

Days seem endless, dazzling displays of flowers adorn parks and storefronts, local crafters and farmers sell goods at open-air markets and Wild Salmon on Parade sculptures appear along city blocks, while kings and silvers are caught just down the hill in Ship Creek. Anchorage thrives under the midnight sun.

The 2006 Friends of Seymour vfr Club is presented in partnership with the Anchorage Market & Festival. Held weekends downtown and Wednesdays at the Northway Mall, the market features locally grown vegetables, pottery, jewelry, live music and great eats! Read more...
