Calling Volunteers
Community volunteers are essential for hosting a successful, unforgettable event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who have signed up and committed their time, energy and talents in welcoming these inspiring athletes to Anchorage. Benefits Volunteers meeting the minimum shift requirement will receive a volunteer t-shirt. Anyone volunteering more than four hours per shift will receive a meal/snack during his or her shift.
Training & Orientation Proper training and orientation for volunteers ensures the well-being and safety of athletes and volunteers participating in the 2006 Wheelchair Games. There will be one mandatory volunteer training sessions held – a General Training and Orientation Session. Some volunteer jobs will also call for Job Specific Training and a Venue Walk-through. Schedule, Name Badge and T-shirt pick up
After completing the online application, pick up your schedule, name badge and t-shirt at the following times and locations:
9 a.m. -7 p.m. June 27 at Alaska Destinations Specialists 1 - 7 p.m., June 28 at Alaska Destinations Specialists 1 - 7 p.m., June 29 at Alaska Destinations Specialists 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., July 2 - 8, Egan Center
Alaska Destinations Specialists 639 W. International Airport Road, Suite 26 (on north side of International between Arctic and C Streets in the same building as PartyCrafts)
Egan Center 5th Avenue between E Street and F Street, located in the third floor Board Room
