• Aug. 22, 2005 – Deadline for changes to publication listing information and renewal payment for billable text and/or extra listings.

• Sept. 1, 2005 – Deadline to renew or purchase display advertising and provide ad materials.

Committee Seeks Candidates for ACVB Board

The Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) Board of Directors, through its Nominations & Elections Committee, is seeking members in good standing who wish to be considered for a seat on the ACVB board.

Directors serve three-year terms, which are staggered so that six to seven of the board's 20 elected seats become available for election each year.

Individuals interested in the Committee's criteria for board candidates should contact committee co-chairs Laurie Fagnani or Steve Halloran through Diane White, ACVB President's Office executive assistant, 257-2345, by Aug. 12, 2005.

Questionnaires will be sent to candidates at the end of August. The Committee will review all packets and recommend a slate for full board approval at the October meeting. The official ballot will be mailed to qualified voting members in December, with new board members to begin their terms in January 2006.
