Anchorage is the perfect place to start an Alaska adventure. Whether mild or wild, one day or multi-day - a wide range of tour options for individuals and groups are available either within or from the city.

Fishing

Anchorage is base camp to world-class sportfishing throughout Southcentral Alaska, although anglers can pursue four species of Alaska salmon, rainbow trout and more right in the city. Monster halibut and all five species of pacific salmon are within a day’s drive or short flight away. Alaska fishing guides provide gear, transportation and expertise for half-day or full-day fishing adventures.

Skiing/Snowboarding

Anchorage offers something for all alpine skiing and snowboarding skill levels - from beginning downhill slopes, to double black diamond (expert) areas, to back country powder.

For Nordic skiing enthusiasts, Anchorage is among the top competitive venues in the world. In fact, Anchorage's Kincaid Park is one of only two Nordic ski areas in the U.S. certified for international 5K, 10K, 15K, and 30K competition.
