The 2005 Official Anchorage Visitors Guide is hot off the press and ready for immediate distribution. This free, award-winning Guide, produced by the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), is an invaluable trip-planning tool and filled with information, local and statewide activities, events, a beautiful and easy-to-read pullout map, sample itineraries, and much more! The Guide, along with ACVB’s Web site, www.Anchorage.net, is used by both visiting guests and local residents alike.
The 130-page Guide features new and expanded sections such as “Small Fry Adventures,” “Anchorage’s Playground,” “Nature’s Edibles,” expanded eight-page winter section, and a four-page “2005 Events Calendar,” with top picks. The Guide offers more than 45 pages of editorial and informational material, bright, eye-catching photographs covering the many year-round activities, transportation options, trip-planning advice, a gear guide, and many day tour options.

The Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau’s mission is to attract and serve visitors to the Municipality of Anchorage. ACVB’s marketing functions are funded by half of the bed tax collected by the lodging association. The other half goes to the Municipality’s general fund. ACVB receives no state or federal funds.
