Alaskans love to share Alaska

It’s inspiring see the awe on a visitor’s face when they hear the trill of an eagle’s cry, see a massive slice of glacier calve with explosive force into icy waters, or finally net a 50-pound king salmon after an hour of play on the reel.

Fortunately, with more than half the state’s total population, Anchorage has quite a few experienced Alaskans available to play host and share favorite locations, attractions, and activities - whether it’s a guided hike through Chugach State Park, panning for gold, paragliding at Alyeska Resort, or going on a bear viewing excursion, Anchorage possess a great concentration of experienced guides.

Anchorage is surrounded by some of the most impressive scenery in the world; Denali National Park to the North, Prince William Sound and Kenai Fjords National Park to the South, and Chugach State Park right in the backyard!

Alaskans love to share Alaska, and fortunately, there’s plenty here to go around.
