MORE BEDS TO LAY HEADS IN ANCHORAGE, ALASKA

Currently, Anchorage boasts 7,716 hotel rooms and more than 800 Bed & Breakfast rooms. By the end of 2004, 8,043 rooms will be available in the Municipality of Anchorage.

The recently opened Hilton Homewood Suites is located in midtown Anchorage, minutes from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and downtown Anchorage. Guests can enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast every morning and a Managers Reception every Mon - Thurs with a light meal and beverages. All of the 123 suites have both wired and wireless Internet access. Complimentary high-speed Internet access throughout the hotel allows guests to work wireless anywhere. The new Motel 6 is opening in mid-May 2004 in midtown and will have 83 guestrooms. Each room will have a coffeemaker, hairdryer, data port, cable TV, pay-per-view movies and Nintendo. The Fairfield Inn & Suites, opening in mid-July located in midtown will have 106 well-appointed rooms. Each room will have a coffee makers, hairdryers, data-port, voicemail, two-line telephone, high-speed DSL, pay-per-view movies, cable TV and Nintendo. Some rooms will also have a microwave and refrigerator. Deluxe complimentary, continental breakfast, indoor pool, business center and free 24-hour airport shuttle. The Aspen Suites Hotel is expecting to open its doors July 1, 2004. The hotel has 138 rooms, each with a living room, kitchenette and a separate bedroom. The Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau’s mission is to attract and serve visitors to the Municipality of Anchorage.
